The Boise State Basque Studies program grew out of an initiative from the Cenarrusa Foundation for Basque Studies in 2005. The program was broadly accepted and has grown ever since. Our efforts helped bring the program together and we continue to provide support as needed. |

Boiseko Ikastola
Boise Basque School The only all Basque language immersion pre-school outside the Basque Country. The Ikastola's unique curriculum focuses on language acquisition and the development of reading, writing and math skills. All classes are taught in the Basque language, which the young students learn easily. |

The Basque organization for Boise's Basque community on the Basque Block in downtown Boise. Euskaldunak also hosts Jaialdi and several international events annually. The Basque Center was built in 1949 and is a gathering place for Basque people of the area. We help maintain our heritage by helping to support Basque dancing, events and gatherings.

The Oinkari Basque Dancers are an elite dance troupe made up of young people of basque heritage who volunteer to represent thier unique culture through dance. The Oinkari have grown greatly over the last 8 years years and are now internationally recognized. |

Dunia Marketplace (formerly Ten Thousand Villages), a not-for-profit retail store and educational organization, has been an active part of the North End and the Boise business communities for fifteen years. The store provids fairly traded hand-crafted items and consumables to create jobs, dignity, sustainability, education and hope to communities, villages, and neighborhoods around the world. |
